  • Hopefully these tips are helpful. The weather has been horrible here with snow ever couple of days which has put a hamper on filming my regular How-To videos. Hopefully the snow melts soon! I have some awesome videos coming!!!

  • MY TIP is park ur car in a garage]

  • how to slap a plow on your TRUCK or hummer

  • and you do not need to get all the snow off just enof to see and the rest wil blow off

  • I live in alaska -40F and 5 feet of snow al this you do not need to do it is just more work and if you get a brush with soft brisils it will not scrach your car thy sel them to brush the snow or you could use a broom then just start your car 20 mintes before you go somewear and you will be fine and you could put your car in 4weal drive if you whant.

  • Idk why I'm watching this when it never snows on Guam. But it's good to know if I ever move out to a place where it snows.

  • And one more tip If your battery is located at the back of the car, use some silicon spray on the latches in the trunk to help remove the battery if it dies on you

  • Credit cards don't actually break....they only bend

  • Or just park inside

  • Park it in a garage

  • me, in a tropical country that hasn't seen snow since men got down from the treetops: interesting

  • I never been to detroit we all fans all need to go to detroit

  • get a closed garage duh

  • Taking notes for when I eventually move to Massachusetts... though my insanely picky butt will probably look for a house that has a garage so my car isnt in the snow 😂

  • This winter was so bad for us. We have 4 cars, 2 of which are mine. But it got to a point where, for a whole month, my old 1997 Passat was the only car that worked. Saved our collective asses.

  • Another tipp is to charge up the battery so that it's full👍

  • gas stations dont close

  • Chris best video ever made cooooool

  • Can we appreciate that he said don’t use the scraper on your paint even tho he did it on his truck respect to you sir 💪

  • Can you show us how to install a remote starter

  • i always start my car and make the car ice free

  • Hi Chris, i used to park the car in the garage or used the car cover if away from home when i was living in CT... Only problem with the car cover was that it was always somewhat wet and smelled in trunk so used a trash bag and some dryer felts. Car cover makes removing the snow off the car easier... The fiber cloths do scratch car paint as well since the fabric freezes while pushing the snow off the car... Keep that in mind but of course it is much better than using the plastic scraper.

  • When ever Its cold always start your car for 10 minutes or so

  • coming from a country that is covered in ice and snow half a year this clip made me giggle like a teen age girl

    • Almost the same reaction. Worthy tips, but it's a bit "duh" for me. I'll add my comments and tips here: -don't use garbage bags for windshield. They will attach to ice pretty strongly. Throw a dedicated cover or an old blanket. Also if your car is under cover, windows wont' freeze. -I don't bother with mirror protection since they have heaters (in my region). Some covers have pockets for mirrors also. -I use soft broom to clear out snow. Very typical car tool is broom on the other end and scraper on the other. -There are silicon pens with sponge as a tip. Easier to spread the silicon to door frames than spraying. -Charge your battery separately, maybe once a week, in case you drive short distances (

  • As a Finn here's some tips for winter driving: 1. Full tank helps with condensation=no water in your fuel, easier to start. 2. Make sure your battery is fully charged and new(ish). 3. Place a carpet etc. on your windshield and tuck it in with your front doors, so it stays still. 4. If you have a real winter where you live, invest in some real winter tires. Not just m+s-marked ones, but something like Nokian Hakkapeliitta etc. 5. Get a block heater and cabin heater. Defa and Calix are the most ordinary ones here, make sure your homes' electricity voltage is appropriate for those. 6. Have a good shovel in your car. 7. Sandbags in the trunk is not just for added weight/grip, it also helps if you get stuck so you can add sand under the tires.

  • Just bought my first car and as a clapped out science student I have essentially no money to spare so I've been binge watching your videos so I can fix anything I run into.

  • Chris i just want you to know that you are doing the work of a hero with all these DIY repair/replacement videos. You are seriously changing peoples lives. Feeling confident in knowing how your car functions and how the components work, AND how to diagnose/fix any issues is a huge thing for people. I'm sure some people come here not even knowing what the part they are trying to replace does for the car.. But by the time they leave (and hopefully fixed their car with your help) they feel like they learned real useful knowledge. Obviously doing the labor yourself saves you the money, but it also gives you satisfaction of having done something to immediately, positively change your situation... Something that now-a-days maybe most people don't know how to do You can sleep at night knowing that this is some of the best , most helpful content on the site. As someone who did level one automechanics in free college, and fixes my own hondas all the time, you have taught me a lot of things bout working smarter, not harder. Sad that most people have no interest in the mechanics of their car. Automobiles and I.C.E are truly amazing human creations Sorry if you actually read this whole comment, I wish you all the best in life.

  • Lets just appreciate how this man is trying to inspire car owners to be self-depend(I’m not the English guy, sorry) But I watch him for a year and I will say I don’t have a car but I still enjoy watching him, and When I will buy a car I will watch him

  • *Kid gets his tongue frozen to a pole* Chris: SPRAY THAT WITH SILICONE!! ITS THAT SIMPLE GUYS!!!

  • Unfortunately in Pakistan🇵🇰 there is no snowfall

  • My best solution is to park in my garage

  • While I clean the driveway I just turn on my car and the heater at the moment I finish is really easy to remove the ice

  • I always wonder why don’t people just cover their whole car with a large plastic sheet?

  • When you fill your wiper fluid and it spill a little into the car, is that a okay for cars? Or do I need to frantically soak it up with paper towel 😂

  • Do you have any tips for getting salt and mud combined off off interior door panels... I have tried vinegar and it does mot work. • A car cover would have been quicker! Clean out your garage and use it for the intended purpose, parking a car in it.

  • Is that "California" snow, use a leaf blower!

  • Just spray your shovel with Pam

  • I have heated mirrors!!

  • Don't let your vehicle sit for a week in freezing weather or you can get your fuel line iced up and it won't start until you add fuel de icer to the tank and wait a while.
